Movie still from his 1969 comedy, The Love God?, in which Knotts played Abner Audubon Peacock, IV, the publisher of a bird-watching magazine that is turned into a girlie magazine by an unscrupulous operator. ©1969, Universal Pictures. Don Knotts (1924-2006) played zealous but inept Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show (1960-1968) from 1960-1965. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards for this role and won all five times! Knotts also appeared in such films as No Time for Sergeants (1955) with Griffith and in The Incredible Mr. Limpet (1964), The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966) and The Shakiest Gun in the West (1968). His other memorable television roles include Mr. Furley on Three's Company and Les Calhoun on Matlock, which starred his old friend Andy Griffith. Slightly creased. 2-inch and 1-inch vertical scratches at right of movie still. Fine condition.
