Dated December 11, 1972. Written on the actor's personal letterhead. Born Donald Barry (1912-1980), the actor became known as "Red" after starring in many Republic Pictures Western films of the 1940s, most notably the serial The Adventures of Red Ryder. He made roughly 200 guest appearances in TV series such as Perry Mason in 1964, Bonanza in 1964 and 1966, Dragnet in 1967, and Ironside from 1969 to 1975. He also played supporting roles in films including Shalako (1968), Crash (1978), and Back Roads (1980) until his suicide in 1980. Lightly toned. Creasing throughout, concentrated most heavily along top edge. Two horizontal mailing folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
