Former vaudeville and Broadway performer Donald Cook (1900-1961) played leading men, secondary leads and villainous parts in films of the 1930s and 1940s. In Public Enemy (1931), he played the honest older brother of gangster Jimmy Cagney. He played Ellery Queen in The Spanish Cape Mystery (1935) and a heroic immigration agent in Ellis Island the following year. He focused on stage work after 1950, appearing also in many television plays. Slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
