Hand Print Sketch signed: "Donald G. Stratton/Survivor/U.S.S. Arizona/Dec. 7, 1941" in black ink, 8½x11 cardstock. Donald Gay Stratton (1922-2020) joined the U.S. Navy in 1940 and was serving aboard the battleship USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, when it was attacked and sunk in the Japanese surprise attack. Stratton was one of only 223 survivors from a crew of 1,400. As of October 2012, only 13 Arizona survivors remain. The Arizona is now a monument jointly maintained by the US Navy and the National Park Service. Fine condition.
