Sinden (1923-2014), got his start on the stage, performing with the Royal Shakespeare
Company since the 1960s and earning a Tony Award nod for his performance in Habeas
Corpus(1975-1976). He added movies to his resume in 1948 - he appeared in numerous
Rank Organisation movies during the 1950s - and TV in 1958. British TV viewers probably
recognize him from his recurring roles on and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1960), Our
Man at St. Mark's (1964-1966), Thirty-Minute Theatre (1971), Two's Company(1975-1979), Never the Twain (1981-1991) and Judge John Deed (2001-2007); he earned a
British Academy Award nomination for Best Light Entertainment performance in Two's
Company. Sinden was knighted in 1997. Lightly toned, silvered, soiled and bowed. Signature
has low contrast in places but is legible. Light scratches and impressions on image (not visible
head-on). Otherwise, fine condition.
