The "Queen of Disco" signs on the cover of Record World Magazine
Magazine Cover Photograph inscribed and signed: "Jack/Love". Color, 8x10½. Cover of "Record World" magazine, August 1979. Cover story: "What's Next for Donna Summer." Donna Summer (1948-2012) was a hit performer in Europe by the mid-1970s, but only in 1978 did she emerge as America's "Queen of disco". That year she earned a Grammy for Best R&B vocal ("Last Dance"). In 1979, she became the first female artist to score three #1 hits in the same calendar year: "MacArthur Park," "Bad Girls," and "Hot Stuff." Her fourth #1 hit would be a duet with Barbra Streisand, "No More Tears." Among Summer's other well known titles are "She Works Hard for the Money" (1983) and her Grammy-winning gospel entry, "Forgive Me" (1984). Minor nick at center of left edge. Signature in poor contrast but legible. Fine condition.
