Just Stand There (1968) follows a young writer who is sent to Europe on
an assignment to finish the final chapters of a sex novel by a famous authoress
who has decide to stop writing. ROBERT WAGNER (b. 1930) played romantic
leads with ease, but it wasn't until he essayed the two-scene role of a
shell-shocked war veteran in With a Song in My Heart (1952) that studio
executives recognized his potential as a dramatic actor. He went on to play the
title roles in Prince Valiant (1954) and The True Story of Jesse
James (1956), and shocked his bobby-soxer fan following by effectively
portraying a cold-blooded murderer in A Kiss Before Dying (1955). After a
two-year hiatus, Wagner made a comeback as star of the lighthearted TV espionage
series It Takes a Thief (1968-1970). For the rest of his career,
Wagner would enjoy his greatest success on TV, first in the mid-'70s series
Switch, then opposite Stefanie Powers in the internationally popular
Hart to Hart, which ran from 1979 through 1983. Dancer and stage,
screen and television actress MARY TYLER MOORE (b. 1936), starred in two of
TV's most successful comedies, The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1966) and
The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977), winning two Emmy Awards for
the former and three Emmys for the latter.Moore, who was
nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for Ordinary People
(1980), also won Tony Awards in 1980 (Whose Life Is It Anyway?; a
special Tony as she was a replacement performer) and 1985, for a revival of
Joe Egg, backed by her production company, MTM. Moore is a
diabetic and has been active in the fight against diabetes. Rounded throughout.
Corners creased. Slightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
