1989 script for the TV series Doogie Howser, M. D., signed by 10 of the principals, including Neil Patrick Harris, Max Casella, James B. Sikking and Belinda Montgomery
Script signed "Kathryn Layng", "James Sikking", "Neil Patrick Harris", "Lisa Dean Ryan", "Lawrence Pressman", "Mitchell Anderson", "Markus Redmond", "Lucy Boryer", "Max Casella" and "Belinda Montgomery". 8½x11, 30 pages, bound with two brass fasteners. Untitled episode, revised April 24, 1989, written by Stephen Bochco and David E. Kelly. Calling the premise of a wunderkind trying to balance teenage life and a medical residency "farfetched" is highly charitable. But Doogie Howser, M. D. (1989-1993) had some real artistic firepower behind it. Its creators were multiple Emmy Award winners Bochco (Hill Street Blues, L. A. Law, NYPD Blue) and Kelly (L. A. Law, Picket Fences, Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, The Practice, Boston Public, Boston Legal), and star Harris was nominated for the first of his three Golden Globes for his performance in the titular role. This script is signed by NEIL PATRICK HARRIS (Douglas "Doogie" Howser), MAX CASELLA (Vinnie Delpino), JAMES B. SIKKING (Dr. David Howser), BELINDA MONTGOMERY (Katherine O'Brien Howser), MITCHELL ANDERSON (Dr. Jack McGuire), LUCY BORYER (Janine Stewart), KATHRYN LAYNG (Nurse Curly Spaulding), LAWRENCE PRESSMAN (Dr. Benjamin Canfield), MARKUS REDMOND (Raymond Alexander) and LISA DEAN RYAN (Wanda Plenn). Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Sikking's signature is lightly haloed but legible. Photocopy marks. 1 missing fastener at left. Fasteners are lightly tarnished. Otherwise in fine condition.
