AFTRA membership application signed by actress Doris Rich in 1949, one year before her TV debut. Rich played Mrs. Claus in the cult classic Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
Document signed "Doris I. Rich" in green ink. Green ink notations and lead pencil marks in unknown hand. 2 pages, 6½x9, 1 sheet, front and verso. Oct. 14, 1949. Membership form for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Rich signed this document one year before her TV debut in 1950, when she appeared in an episode of Studio One. Canadian-born actress Rich (1919-1971) appeared in 12 movies and TV shows between 1950 and 1964, with repeat appearances in Kraft Television Theatre (1950-1954) and Naked City (1961-1963). However, she may be best remembered - for better or for worse - for her final role, as Mrs. Claus in the cult classic Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. She was also the second wife of John Carradine (1957-1971).Lightly toned and creased. Signature touches notations. Light tear and staple holes in left edge. Folded in half and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
