DOROTHY BARRETT and PEGGY MORAN
Candid photograph of the two actresses at an event, signed by each on their respective images (6x4)
Photograph signed: "Dorothy Barrett", "Peggy Moran", in blue felt tip, Color 6x4. PEGGY MORAN (1918-2002) played small roles in some prestige films, like Greta Garbo's Ninotchka(1939), but starred in low budget films: The Mummy's Hand (1940), Treat 'Em Rough (with Eddy Albert and William Frawley, 1942) and King of the Cowboys (with Roy Rogers and Smiley Burnett (1943). She had only a 5-year screen career, retiring soon after her marriage to director Henry Koster. DOROTHY BARRETT (b.1917) is an American dancer, actress and performer who is most remembered as the beautiful and extravagant show girl in the 1946 classic Blue Skies, with Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby. She also appeared in The Wizard of Oz (1939), Mildred Pierce (1945), Dream Girl (1948) and The Big Clock (1948). Also a stage performer, Barrett was a featured Broadway dancer in Earl Carroll's Vanities (1940) and the comedic musical Louisiana Purchase (1940-1941). While she made her last major film appearance in 1950's Copper Canyon, Barrett has continued her performance career as a dance teacher and choreographer in Studio City. She is one of the last surviving members of the Wizard of Oz. Fine condition.
