DOROTHY LOUDON. First Day Cover signed: "Dorothy Loudon", 6½x3½. FDC honoring Love, 8-cent stamp affixed, postmarked Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, January 26, 1973, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Dorothy Loudon (1933-2003) won a Theatre World Award in 1963 for the Broadway production of Nowhere to Go But Up and a Tony in 1977 for her role of Miss Hannigan in Annie. She was nominated for two other Tonys: The Fig Leaves Are Falling (1969) and Ballroom (1979). She was a regular on TV's The Garry Moore Show (1962-1964) and had her own short-lived sitcom (Dorothy, 1979). She appeared in the films Garbo Talks (1984) and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997). Fine condition.
