DOROTHY PHILLIPPS
Signed vintage photo, looking out of a window. Extremely rare!
Photograph signed: "Dorothy Phillipps". B/w, 6½x8½. Stage and screen actress Dorothy Phillipps (1889-1980) was a star on the silent screen, her first top-billed role being opposite Lon Chaney, Sr. in The Mark of Cain (1916). With the advent of talkies, she was relegated to secondary roles, but can still be seen in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962). She was married to director/producer Allen Holubar, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was often credited as Dorothy Phillips (single "p"). Mounting remnants on verso (no show-through). Fine condition.
