Small 5½x6½ vintage photograph of the actress, signed in green ink
Inscribed Photograph Signed: "To/Diane/ with sincere regards, /Dorothy Sebastian ". Sepia, 5½x6½.Dorothy Sebastian (1903-1957) went from the chorus of George White's Scandals to the starring role in her first silent film, Sackcloth and Scarlet (1925). She co-starred with Joan Crawford and Anita Page in a trio of romantic comedies, beginning with Our Dancing Daughters (1928). The following year, she was cast opposite Buster Keaton, her lover at the time, in Spite Marriage. She was married to William Boyd ("Hopalong Cassidy") from 1932 to 1936, and her career never recovered from her absence from the screen during these years. Lightly toned. Minor surface creases. Otherwise, fine condition.
