7¾x9¾. Golfer Doug Sanders (1933-2020) was the first amateur to win the Canadian
Open. After joining the PGA Tour in 1957, he had 20 PGA victories and earned over a
million dollars. Sanders, who was dubbed the "peacock of the fairway" for his stylish dress
on the course, was one of the first to promote the Senior Tour with his own Celebrity
Classic. He joined the Senior Tour in 1983, winning the World Senior Invitational that
year. Sanders, who resides in Houston, is the sponsor of the Doug Sanders International
Junior Golf Championship, held in Aberdeen, Scotland. He is also known for his numerous
contributions to charitable organizations. Fine condition.
