Ephemera signed: "Drew Pearson", 2½x3½. Blue letter "R" from
his name on a game used Dallas Cowboy uniform jersey, affixed to a sports card
in the "By the Letter" series from Upper Deck. Drew Pearson (b. 1951),
named one of the top 20 wide receivers in NFL history and a part of the NFL
1970s All-Decade Team, began his football days at South River High School in
New Jersey, where he succeeded Joe Theismann as quarterback. The Dallas
Cowboys picked him up as a free agent in 1973, where he helped the Cowboys to
three Super Bowls, including a win at Super Bowl XII in 1978. He scored a
touchdown in Super Bowl X. Pearson, a three-time Pro Bowler, was
known as Mr. Clutch for his many key receptions, including the famous
Hail Mary catch from Roger Staubach in the 1975 playoffs. Fine
condition.
