The Dutchess of Malfi, a historical play by John Webster, adapted by W.H. Auden, was performed on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, week beginning November 4, 1946. It was a change of pace role for JOHN CARRADINE who had portrayed Dracula in two films in 1945: House of Frankenstein and House of Dracula.CANADA LEE had appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's Lifeboat in 1944. The young Black actor died in 1952 at the age of 45. Lightly creased, soiled edges. Fine condition.
