Signature: "Duffy Dyer", 5x3 lined index card. Dyer, born Don
Robert Dyer in 1945, was a major league catcher from 1969 to 1981, primarily
with the New York Mets and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dyer was a member of the
Miracle Mets of 1969, playing one game in the World Series. He backstopped
Pirate John Candelaria's Aug. 9, 1976 no-hitter against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The year after, he led National League catchers in fielding percentage
with a .996 percentage and only two errors in 93 games and 545 chances. Dyer
earned a .221 batting average during his major league career and notched 30 home
runs and 173 RBIs. Fine condition.
