Ed McMahon signs a document extending usage rights of a telecast to
Yorkshire Productions, Inc.
Document signed: "Ed McMahon", 1p, 8½x11. New York, New
York, 1969 June 18. McMahon signs his acceptance of a statement extending
usage rights of a telecast to Yorkshire Productions, Inc., for five years past
its original showing, notwithstanding contrary language in the agreement of 1967
October 24. Pencil note (unknown hand) in upper right: "KMH [Kraft Music
Hall]/12-20-67/show/file". Ed McMahon (1923-2009), who previously worked with
Johnny Carson on the TV quiz show Who Do You Trust? (1958-1962), then
served as Carson's announcer on The Tonight Show (1962-1992), with
his famous introductory line, "Heerre's ... Johnny". McMahon hosted other TV quiz
and variety programs, including the talent contest Star Search
(1983-1995). He is perhaps equally famous for being a spokesman for the
Publishers' Clearinghouse contest. Slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine
condition.
