Signed b/w 13¾x10¾ movie still from Ed Wood, with Martin Landau as a has-been Bela
Lugosi doing his best Dracula and Johnny Depp as schlock director Ed Wood doing his
best Bela Lugosi. Landau won his only Academy Award for his performance in Ed Wood.

overall, 13¼x8¾ image, one surface. Landau earned his only Oscar for his performance as
actor Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood (1994), a biopic about schlock director Ed Wood (played by
Depp) who gained some sort of fame directing Z-grade movies like Glen or Glenda?
(1953) and Plan 9 From Outer Space (1956). Emerging as a teen heart throb on TV's 21
Jump Street (1997), actor Johnny Depp (born in 1963) has gone on to film stardom in a
wide variety of roles. His film credits include Platoon (1986), Edward Scissorhands (1990),
What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993), Benny & Joon (1993), Ed Wood (1994), Donnie
Brasco (1997), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of
the Black Pearl (2003, Best Actor Academy Award nomination), The Libertine (2004),
Finding Neverland (2004, Best Actor Oscar nomination) and Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory (2005). He has starred as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean films,
beginning in 2006, played the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland (2010), and portrays
Tonto in the new version of the classic Western The Lone Ranger (2012). Character actor and
leading man LANDAU (1928-2017), was a former cartoonist and illustrator before making
his off-Broadway stage debut in 1951. The winner of the Academy Award for Best
Supporting Actor for Ed Wood (1994), Landau was also nominated in the same category
for Tucker: The Man and His Dream (1988) and Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), and he
was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Guest Actor in a Drama in 2005 for an
appearance on Without a Trace. Landau's film credits include North by Northwest (1959),
Cleopatra (1963), Sliver (1993), Rounders (1998), EDtv (1999) and The Majestic (2001),
and he has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV movies and made guest appearances on
a long list of TV shows from 1956 until the present. He was married to actress Barbara
Bain from 1957 to 1993. Lightly creased and bowed, otherwise in fine condition.
