Contract signed "Eddie Albert" and by a representative of MCA TV, Ltd. in blue ink. Also initialed twice by Albert in blue ink. 4 pages, 12¾x9¾, 1 sheet folded, front and verso, carbon copy. With 9½x3½ rider stapled to page 4 and three 8¼x11 letters on MCA Artists, Ltd. stationery, all bound with 1 paperclip. April 19, 1960. Three-year television distribution agreement, between Albert and MCA TV.It supersedes an agreement that Albert signed with MCA Artists, Ltd. on May 7, 1959. In 1960, Albert appeared in episodes of Sunday Showcase and Startime. Best known for his role as city slicker turned farmer Oliver Douglas on TV's Green Acres (1965-1971) with Eva Gabor as his wife, Albert (1908-2005), bornEdward Albert Heimberger, had made his movie debut in Brother Rat in 1938; his costars included Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1953 (Roman Holiday) and 1972 (The Heartbreak Kid), Albert's film career included Airport '79, Escape to Witch Mountain, The Longest Yard, Captain Newman, M.D., The Longest Day, The Sun Also Rises, The Teahouse of the August Moon, Oklahoma!, You're in the Navy Now and Hit Parade of 1947. Lightly toned and creased. Paper clip impression and rust stains in top left corners. Light tears and dents at right edge of contract. Light dents at top and left edges and light nicks at bottom edge of letters. Paper clip is rusted. Contract was folded four times, comes folded thrice. Otherwise in fine condition.
