Penciled notations in unknown hand. 7 pages with 9 pages of signed amendments,
8½x11, bound with staples. Aug. 31, 1961 and Jan. 2, 1962. Albert signed
this contract with Amro Productions, Claude Productions, Inc. and MEA
Productions, Inc. to appear as Clint Morgan in 1963's Who's Got the
Action. According to this contract, he was to work on Who's Got the
Action for six weeks for a weekly salary of $5,000. Albert appeared in a
total of 15 movies and TV shows in 1961 and 1962, including The Longest
Day. Best known for his role as city slicker turned farmer Oliver Douglas
on TV's Green Acres (1965-1971) with Eva Gabor as his wife,
Albert (1908-2005), bornEdward Albert Heimberger, had made his
movie debut in Brother Rat in 1938; his costars included Ronald Reagan
and Jane Wyman. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1953 (Roman
Holiday) and 1972 (The Heartbreak Kid), Albert's film career
included Airport '79, Escape to Witch Mountain, The Longest
Yard, Captain Newman, M.D., The Longest Day, The Sun Also
Rises, The Teahouse of the August Moon, Oklahoma!, You're
in the Navy Now and Hit Parade of 1947. Lightly toned, stained,
creased and rippled. Albert's first signature has bled from stain but is
legible. Staples are rusted. Paper clip impressions and rust stains in top left
corner. Otherwise in fine condition.
