The two time horse racing Triple Crown winner signs a 5x3 card.
Autograph Note signed: "To Bill Wood/Good luck/Eddie Arcaro", 5x3 card. No jockey has won the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness or the Belmont Stakes more times than Eddie Arcaro (1916-1997). He won all three races, horseracing's Triple Crown, twice: in 1941 on Whirlaway and in 1948 on Citation. He is tied for the most Kentucky Derby wins (5) and Belmont Stakes wins (6), and had won over $30 million in purses before retiring (1962). Later he served as a TV commentator. Mounting remnants on verso, with faint show through at "Bill" and "Good" of signature. Stray ink mark in lower left.
