FORMULA ONE RACERS
Signatures from five Formula One racers, noting their teams and cars, with the collecting noting the signatures being collected in 1979
Signatures: "E Cheever", "M Regazzoni", "Beppe Gabbiani", "Brian Henton", "Angel Guerra", 5¼x7¾. The signatures, written on two separate sheets, have been affixed together. Formula One is the highest class of single-seater auto racing, racing it's inaugural season in 1950. A dangerous but thrilling sport, Formula One cars are the fastest multi-turn circuit-racing cars in the world, racing at speeds of up to 220 miles per hour. EDDIE CHEEVER (b. 1958) spent 30 years in Formula One racing, racing in 143 World Championships, and starting 132 of those races. Although he never won a championship, he did achieve 9 podiums. CLAY REGAZZONI (1939-2006) competed in Formula One from 1970 to 1980, winning five Grand Prix during his career. His first win was the 1970 Italian Grand Prix, and his last was the 1980 United States Grand Prix West. BEPPE GABBIANI (b. 1957) competed in 17 Grand Prix races, but never won or scored any championship points. He saw better success in Formula 2, winning the 1983 Eifelrennen. BRIAN HENTON (b. 1946) competed in 38 Formula One Grand Prix races, scoring no championship points. Like Gabbiani, he also fared better in Formula Two and Three races, winning the 1974 British Formula Three Championships and the Formula Two championship in 1980. MIGUEL ÁNGEL GUERRA (b. 1953) raced in four Formula One Grand Prix races, but retired shortly after his debut due to injuries from a wreck. He later went on to race in Formula Two. Top right corner clipped. Tear on right margin. Light surface creases. Faint stains across. Tape on top right corner (front and verso). White out on top margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
