EDDIE GIACOMIN, CO-SIGNED BY: PHIL ESPOSITO, JOHN BUCYK, VIC HADFIELD, LEN TAIT
29x16 color lithograph of Tait's In The Slot, with the Rangers and the Bruins battling just outside the Rangers' crease. Signed by Hall of Fame Bruins Esposito and Bucyk, Hall of Fame Ranger Giacomin and the artist Tait. Comes in a 24x34 black-and-white matte.
Lithograph signed "Vic Hadfield", "Phil Esposito", "Ed. Giacomin", "John Bucyk" and the artist "Len Tait", all in pencil. Numbered "1811/2000" in lower left corner unknown hand in pencil. Color, 29x16 in 24x34 black-and-white matte with 9¼x1¾ silver-and-black nameplate. This is a lithograph reproduction of Tait's painting In the Slot, with an embossed "Certified Reproduction Edition" stamp in lower right corner. ESPOSITO, the 6'1" and 205 pound center born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada in 1942, broke into the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks. Esposito played 4 seasons with the Blackhawks before being traded to Boston in 1967. He became the first player in NHL history to reach the "Century Mark" when he scored 49 goals and added 77 helpers for 126 points during the 1968-69 season. As a Bruin, Esposito led the NHL in goal scoring four times, including his unfathomable 76 goals in 78 games during the 1970-71 campaign. The following two years he followed up with 66 and 55 goals, leading the league with both totals. Esposito also helped lead the Bruins to two Stanley Cup championships before being traded to the Rangers in 1975. Esposito, while past his prime with the Rangers, was still an effective goal scorer and physical presence. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984. GIACOMIN, born in Sudbury, Ontario in 1939, was one of hockey's great goaltenders during his illustrious 13-year career. He spent 11 seasons (1965-66 to 1975-76) with New York, putting an indelible mark on the club's record book. He registered 266 wins, 169 losses, 90 ties and 49 shutouts along with a 2.73 goals-against average in 539 career matches. He is the Ranger's all-time leader in wins (266) and shutouts (49). Only Gump Worsley has tended the Rangers' nets in more games than Giacomin's 539 career matches. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987. BUCYK, born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1935, is a former pro hockey player and a Hockey Hall of Famer. Bucyk's Nation Hockey League career spans three decades, from 1951 to 1978, the last 21 of those with the Boston Bruins. A seven-time All-Star, Bucyk helped Boston bring home the Stanley Cup for the first time in 29 years in 1970. He is only one of 19 players to score over 500 points in his career, and the oldest to score over 50 goals in one season (51 in the 1970-1971 campaign, at age 35). He has a total of 556 goals and 813 assists in 1,540 NHL regular season games and a total of 124 playoff goals and 41 playoff assists. Bucyk was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981. HADFIELD, born in Oakville, Ontario, Canada in 1940, is a former National Hockey League hockey player. Hadfield, who played from 1961 to 1977, is primarily associated with the New York Rangers, with whom he played for the first 13 of his 16 seasons in the NHL. A two-time All-Star, Hadfield earned 323 goals and 389 assists in 1,002 NHL regular games and 74 points and 27 assists in the playoffs and, in 1972, led the Rangers to their first Stanley Cup in 22 years. Not matted in Gallery of History style. Fine condition.
