Ink note (unknown hand) on verso: "Signed NBC Studio Jan. 5, 1946/By Jack Barry Eddie Anderson/Hollywood, Cal." Originally hired to play a one-time guest spot as a porter on an episode of Jack Benny's radio show ("Train Ride to Hollywood", March 28, 1937), comic actor Eddie Anderson (1905-1977) struck such a chord with audiences that his association with Benny lasted 20 years. Best known for his role as "Rochester", Benny's butler, Anderson also starred with Benny in the classic films Man About Town (1939), Buck Benny Rides Again (1940) and Love Thy Neighbor (1940). Anderson also appeared in Three Men on a Horse (1936). Minor surface striations (not evident head on), 2 nail head-size impressions at upper background. Overall, fine condition.
