appearance on the The Patti Page Show to be sent to his agent the William
Morris Agency.

York, 1956 June 7. Arnold authorizes General Artists Corp. to direct his
compensation for his television appearance on the The Patti Page Show on
June 16, 1956, to his agent, William Morris Agency. Credited with taking
hillbilly music to the city, Eddy Arnold (1918-2008) was one of the most popular
country artists of all time, virtually dominating the charts in the 1940s and
1950s. Initially influenced by cowboy singers such as Gene Autry, Arnold
charted 28 number one hits and has sold over 85 million records. His top
recordings include "I'll Hold You in My Heart (Till I Can Hold You in My Arms)"
(21 weeks at number one), "Bouquet of Roses (19 weeks at the top of the charts),
"What's He Doing in My World?" and "Make the World Go Away". He was inducted
into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966. Lightly creased at corners and
rust mark from paperclip at upper left margin. Overall, fine
condition.
