Edgar Kennedy (1890-1948) broke into silent films in 1914, often cast as a villain in Mack Sennett comedies. He later excelled in other comic roles, co-starring with Laurel and Hardy, Our Gang and, in his last picture (Unfaithfully Yours, 1948) with Doris Day. He made over 100 two-reelers for RKO studios, known collectively as his "Mr. Average Man" comedies. In these he played the long-suffering husband, a prototype of so many future TV sitcoms. Kennedy died of throat cancer one day before a Hollywood testimonial dinner was scheduled in his honor. Lightly toned, cracked, creased and bowed. Light dent at right edge. Random ink stains. Otherwise in fine condition.
