Inscribed photograph signed "To Maib/from/Edie Adams" in blue ink. B/w, 4x4¾ overall, 3½x4¼ image, one surface. Singer and comedian Adams, born Elizabeth Edith Enke in Kingston, Pennsylvania in 1927, who appeared on TV's popular Ernie Kovacs Show in the early 1950s, married Kovacs in 1954 (the couple was married until his death in 1962). Known to television audiences for her commercials for Muriel Cigars, she also appeared in several feature films, including The Apartment (1960) and The Best Man (1964). Adams, who received a Tony Award as Daisy Mae in Li'l Abner (1955), portrayed Mae West in a TV biography of her late husband, Ernie Kovacs: Between the Laughter (1984). Lightly creased and bowed. Light impressions and scratches on photo (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine condition.
