EDITH FELLOWS and SYBIL JASON
Candid photograph of the two child stars, with each signing across their respective image (4x6)
Inscribed photograph signed: "To Clint/love/Edith Fellows", "Sybil/Jason", in blue ink, Color 4x6. EDITH FELLOWS (1923-2011) first appeared on film at age seven (1930). A popular child actress though never a top-billed star, she had prominent roles in Bing Crosby's Pennies From Heaven (1936) and the four Five Little Peppers movies (1939-1940). She appeared in a few of the talking Our Gang comedies. She retired from film in 1942, only to return in character roles and guest TV spots in the 1980s. She played costume designer Edith Head in the TV film Grace Kelly (1985). South African child actress SYBIL JASON (1929-2011) was touted as Warner Bros' answer to Shirley Temple, and was the first child star under long-term contract. She starred in several films of the 1930s (Little Big Shot, The Captain's Kid), and won a New York Critics' Award for Best Supporting Actress in Temple's The Little Princess (1939). Her autobiography, My Fifteen Minutes (2005) was so successful that she was encouraged to write a follow-up. Corners slightly worn. Fine condition.
