photo for the 1933 film Strictly Personal. In 1933, Quillan also appeared
in Broadway to Hollywood. American actor Quillan (1907-1990) made
his first major feature-film appearance when he co-starred in The Godless
Girl (1929). He went on to star in such films as The Sophomore
(1929), Noisy Neighbors (1929), Big Money (1930) and The
Tip-Off (1931). Among his more memorable credits as a supporting actor
were Mutiny on the Bounty (1935), Young Mr. Lincoln
(1939), The Grapes of Wrath (1940) and It Ain't Hay
(1943). Quillan remained active into the 1980s, appearing as a regular on the TV
sitcom Julia (1969-1970). Lightly cracked, creased and bowed. Name
underlined in unknown hand in red ink in caption at bottom (does not touch
signature). Rounded and creased corners, with paper loss in top left corner.
