EDWARD F. ARN. Photograph signed: "Best wishes/Edward F. Arn". B/w, 8x10. Signed on dark area of suit, completely legible when held horizontally. Slightly creased at upper blank margin, which has paper clip impression. Minor surface creases (not evident head on). Overall, fine condition. Accompanied by business card, unsigned, 3½x2. Imprinted, in part: "Edward F. Arn/Attorney at Law/Arn, Mullins, Unruth, Kuhn & Cates". Wichita, Kansas address and telephone number imprinted at lower margin. Light paper clip impression and rust stain at upper blank margin, else fine condition. Edward Ferdinand Arn (1906-1998) was the Republican Governor of Kansas from 1951-1955. A veteran of WWII, he had previously served as Kentucky's Attorney General (1947-1949) and as an Associate Justice on the Kansas State Supreme Court (1949-1950). Following his term as Governor, Arn returned to his private law practice, but he attempted to re-enter politics in 1962, when he was an unsuccessful candidate for the U.S. Senate. Two items.
