Postcard Photograph signed: "Edward G. Robinson." B/w, 3½x5½ overall, image 3¼x4¾ (one surface). Edward G. Robinson (1893-1973) had his first film success in Little Caesar (1931), leading to a series of gangster roles. Later memorable films included Double Indemnity (1944), Key Largo (1948), The Cincinnati Kid (1948) and Soylent Green (1973). Robinson learned shortly before his death that he would be awarded an Academy Award in 1973 for his outstanding contributions to motion pictures. Signed at lower margin at dark area of suit, completely legible if held at angle. Surface creases and scratches, touching facial image. Lightly soiled at blank margins. Mounting remnants on verso (light show through at upper right background and cheek). Overall, fine condition.
