Magazine Inscribed and Signed (three times): "To Selwyn Gamble/with best wishes/Ted Kennedy".Color, 9x12. "Look" Magazine dated March 5, 1979, picturing Kennedy with his two sons: Patrick Joseph Kennedy (born in 1967) and Edward Moore Kennedy, Jr. (born in 1961). Inside, in the nine-page spread, Kennedy has signed two additional times. Signature: "Ted Kennedy". Color, 11x12. Captioned: "Ted and Joan Kennedy and their three children share Christmas 78 with Ethel and nine of her 11 children. It may be hard to spot the next Presidential candidate, but it's easy to spot the non-Kennedys: A family friend with eyeglasses, a companion for the children in the maroon sweater." Signature: "With best/wishes-/Ted Kennedy". Color, 7x12. Captioned: "Rose Kennedy poses with her surviving son.She provides the younger generation of Kennedys with a sense of continuity." On November 29, 1958, 26-year-old Edward Moore Kennedy, the youngest of the children of Joseph P. and Rose Kennedy, married 22-year-old Joan Bennett. In addition to their two sons, the couple also had a daughter, Kara Anne Kennedy (born in 1960). They were divorced in 1983 and 60-year-old Kennedy married 38-year-old attorney Victoria Reggie in 1992. Edward Kennedy (1932-2009) was first elected to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts in 1962 to fill the seat vacated by his brother the President- serving until his death. Maturing from "kid brother" of the President into a national spokesman for liberal causes, he challenged incumbent President Jimmy Carter for the Democratic nomination in 1980, but fell short. Beset by personal tragedies, some of his own making, Ted Kennedy remained an eloquent and important voice in the Senate and in his party.Kennedy's son Patrick has been one of Rhode Island's two Congressmen since 1995. Lightly creased at corners and at left edge of back cover, else fine condition.
