Edward Bok (1863-1930) moved as a child from the Netherlands to the U.S. As
editor of the "The Ladies' Home Journal" (1889-1919), he campaigned for
pure food and drug laws and public beautification. Bok also published important
fiction and articles by several Presidents. In 1923, he donated $100,000 for a
prize for the best plan for achieving universal peace. Bok won the 1921
Pulitzer Prize for his autobiography, The Americanization of Edward
Bok. Lightly creased and soiled, else fine
