The Golden Globe winner signs his name on a trading card for The
FBI
Trading/sports card signed: "Efrem Zimbalist Jr." in black
ink, 1¾x2¾ trading card from The FBI, The Cops. The son of
violinist Efrem Zimbalist and opera star Alma Gluck, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.,
(b. 1918), made his film debut in 1949's House of a Stranger.
Although he appeared in a number of films - including the 1991 action-flick
satire Hot Shots!, which showcased his comedic flair - Zimbalist
achieved stardom on the small screen. From 1958 to 1964, he starred as
suave private detective Stuart Bailey on 77 Sunset Strip, which earned
him one of his two Emmy Award nomination, and in 1965, hebegan his
nine-season run as Inspector Lew Erskine on The FBI, which earned him
one of his three Golden Globe nominations. He later appeared as con artist
Daniel Chalmers on his daughter Stephanie's weekly series Remington
Steele (1982-1987) and as the voice of faithful butler Alfred on
numerous Batman animated series in the 1990s and 2000's, and has
guest starred in a number of other series, including Babylon 5
(1997). Zimbalist also appeared six times on Broadway between 1945 and 1956 and
produced four Broadway productions between 1947 and 1950. Fine
