California, 1955 March 8. California Certificate of Nonresidence and Claim
for Personal Exemption for 1955. Marshall, who claims a permanent address in New
York City, claims $4,300 in exemptions. E. G. Marshall (1910-1998) who made his
film debut in 1945, starred in a number of films, but is perhaps best known for
his television roles. He won two Emmys for his portrayal of attorney Lawrence
Preston on The Defenders, telecast on CBS from 1961-1965, and later
appeared on The Bold Ones. On film he was the prosecutor in The
Caine Mutiny (1954) and a juror in Twelve Angry Men (1957). Ink note
