Signature: “Elaine Giftos”, in black ink, 3x5. Elaine Giftos (b.1945) is an American actress
who landed a significant number of guest spots on different television shows and had
minor roles in a handful of movies. Giftos began her career as a performer. A member of the
New York City Ballet, she made several appearances on Broadway before venturing to
California to begin an acting career. Giftos made her first TV appearance on the episode
“Jeannie the Matchmaker” of the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970), and ended up
making over 20 guest appearances on a wide variety of shows from the mid 1960s to the
late 1990s. Her movie credits include roles in On a Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970),
Gas-s-s-s (1970), Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* (*But Were Afraid
to Ask) (1972), Paternity (1981), and The Trouble with Dick (1987). Outside of acting,
Giftos began providing Feng shui consulting services with her company "The Wright Way of
Feng Shui." She was also married to writer and producer Herbert Wright until he passed in
