British actress ELEANOR BRON (b. 1938) appeared in The Beatles film Help! (1964), her first name inspiring Paul McCartney to name song "Eleanor Rigby". She was featured in with Michael Caine in Alfie, with Dudley Moore and Peter Cook in Bedazzled, and with Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn in Two for the Road. Recent feature film roles include Wimbledon (2004) and Hyde Park on Hudson. She has been seen on many classic British TV series, including Yes Minister, Rumpole of the Bailey and Doctor Who. Her stage appearance include numerous charity spots for Amnesty International's The Secret Policeman's Ball. In 1985 her authoritative voice landed her the role of "the voice of BT," with telephone users hearing her messages like "Please hang up and try again." Bron has written several books, beginning with, Is Your Marriage Really Necessary (1972). British character actress IRENE HANDL (1901-1987) made her London stage debut in 1937. She appeared in over 100 films, usually cast as a slightly eccentric mother, grandmother, landlady or servant. He played Peter Sellers' wife in It's All Right Jack (1959), and Sherlock Holmes' housekeeper in The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970), and made recurring guest visits to many British TV series.
