Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Mark,/Elena Verdugo". B/w, 8x10. Shown with Lon Chaney, Jr. (as the Wolfman) in movie still from The House of Frankenstein (1944). Born in California in 1926 of an old Spanish family, Verdugo began her film career playing Mexican women and various exotic foreigners in Hollywood films of the 1940s and early 1950s. Starring roles included Tuna Clipper (1949) and some Gene Autry Westerns, including The Big Sombrero (also 1949).
