Endorsed on verso: "Robert Taylor" and "Joan Taylor". Wizards, an animated futuristic adventure written and directed by RALPH BAKSHI, was released in 1977. ELISABETH BAKSHI was the wife of the director, who was known for his adult-oriented animated features, which often combined animation with brief live-action backgrounds. Best known for the full-length X-rated cartoon Fritz the Cat (1972) and an animated version of The Lord of the Rings (1978), Ralph is now a Southwest-based artist. ROBERT TAYLOR, who is sometimes credited as Bob Taylor, was an animator on Wizards. Taylor, who was a screenwriter, director and producer as well as an animator is perhaps best known for The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat (1974). He began his career in 1967 as an animator for The Thief From Baghdad, and has animated a number of feature films, including Aladdin and the King of Thieves (1996), and TV features, including It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown (1984), Garfield in the Rough (1984) and Garfield in Paradise (1986).
