Until the 1970s, most radio disc jockeys were male. Ellie Dylan was one of the
female rock jocks who gained popularity in the 1970s. In 1977, a new general
manager at WNBC Radio, New York City, fired morning drive time DJ Don Imus and
replaced him with Ellie Dylan. (When ratings did not improve, the GM
departed and Imus returned.) Later, Dylan went into program production. On TV
she is a segment producer and on-air personality for The Love Report,
a weekday ABC program examining romantic relationships and featuring
interviews with celebrities. Ink note on verso shows through lightly at lower
edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
