Contract in letter form to Sosenko Productions, Inc., New York City regarding an appearance by Mr. & Mrs. Roosevelt "to perform as guests on the radio program known as 'The Campbell Room', advertising products of the sponsor." The program was to take place in CBS Studios in New York City on February 23, 1947 from 9:00-9:30 PM EST. Also initialed: "F.E.R." and "E.R." on rider affixed at mid-left margin. The Roosevelts would receive a combined compensation of $600 for their appearance. ELLIOTT ROOSEVELT (1910-1990), the third son of Franklin D. Roosevelt, was born ten months after his brother, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Jr. (1909-1909), died at seven months old. Elliott was Mayor of Miami Beach from 1965-1967. He was married five times: to Elizabeth Browning Donner (1932-1933, divorced), Ruth Googins (1933-1944, divorced), actress Faye Emerson (1944-1950, divorced), Minnewa Bell Ross (1951-1960, divorced) and Patricia Whitehead (1960-1990, his death). Actress FAYE EMERSON (1917-1983) began her film career in 1941, appearing in six films that year. Emerson, whose film credits include The Desert Song (1943), Destination Tokyo (1943), Hollywood Canteen (1944) and A Face in the Crowd, had her greatest success on the small screen, hosting a number of TV programs in the early 1950s. She was so popular that it is rumored that TV's Emmy Awards are named in her honor. Roosevelt was Emerson's second husband. After their divorce, she was married to bandleader Skitch Henderson from 1950-1957. ANNA SOSENKO (1909-2000) was a business manager and producer in an industry dominated by men. She is best known as the manager of cabaret star, Hildegarde, for whom Sosenko wrote the song, "Darling, Je Vouis Aime Beaucoup". Sosenko also created The Raleigh Room radio show for Hildegard as well as producing The Campbell Room. During her last 25 years, Sosenko conceived and produced star-studded musical tributes that honored the greats of the theater. Lightly creased. Stapled at upper corner. Overall, fine condition.
