postmarked Appleton, Minnesota, November 19, 1973. Addressed by Benson

Benson's return address imprinted at upper left. Elmer Austin Benson
(1895-1985), a businessman and veteran of WWI, was a Farmer-Labor Party
candidate elected to fill a vacancy in the U.S. Senate. Benson served as U.S.
Senator from Minnesota from 1935-1936, when a successor was elected. He then
was Governor of Minnesota (1937-1939). Lightly creased. Light stain at
blank right margin. Overall, fine condition. Two items.
