Typed Letter Signed: "Elmer Rice", 1p, 6x9½. New York, 1929 February 8. On stationery of the Hotel Walton to Mrs. Brady, concerning her writing to him about The Subway, his play written in 1924. "I still feel that, produced under the right auspices and with the right cast, the play would have had an excellent chance. But it is too late to do anything about that...although I am very much disappointed, I feel that Street Scene is more than a compensation." Street Scene (1929) won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1929. Lightly creased, else fine condition.
