EMERSON BOOZER Signed letter from the New York Jets star to an autograph collector Autograph Letter signed: "Emerson Boozer/ 32" in black ink, 1p, 5x3. No place, 2009 March 20. To "Dear Frank". In full: "As per your Request I have autographed the enclosed football card [item not included] for your collection of former NFL players. Good luck with your hobby. Sincerely". Emerson Boozer (b. 1943) was a New York Jets running back from 1966-1975. In 1966, when he was only a rookie, he was named to his first Pro Bowl. As the starting running back in 1967, he rushed for 10 touchdowns through the first eight games, only to suffer a season-ending knee injury. Despite only playing half the season, he held the AFL record for rushing touchdowns that season. Following his injury, Boozer went on to have a solid career with the Jets, becoming a strong blocker and pass catcher as well as a runner. He was part of the Jets team that defeated the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III. Boozer was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
