Ethel Barrymore Theatre's performance of Night Must Fall, a play written by and starring Emlyn Williams. Signed on cast page. Night Must Fall was revived on Broadway for 40 performances in 1999, with Matthew Broderick in the role of "Dan" previously played by Williams. George Emlyn Williams (1905-1987) was a distinguished Welsh playwright whose best works included Night Must Fall and The Corn is Green (1942), a screenwriter (The Man Who Knew Too Much, 1934) and film and stage actor (who won a Tony for A Boy Growing Up, 1958). In addition to plays, he penned a novel, two autobiographies and a controversial true crime study, Beyond Belief (1967). Slight show through from printed ad on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
