To all employees of the Imperial Postal Service, fixing new rates and giving instructions concerning couriers and post-horses. Ferdinand II was King of Bohemia (1617-1619, 1620-1627) and of Hungary (1618-1625) and Holy Roman Emperor (1619-1637). Champion of the Catholic Counter-Reformation, Ferdinand drove Protestantism out of Bohemia. In 1629, he issued the Edict of Restitution and in 1635, signed the Peace of Prague. Lightly foxed. Shaded at folds, vertical fold touches the paraph of signature. ½-inch separation at lower blank margin at vertical fold, pinholes at some cross folds. Soiled at lower right blank margin. Irregular edges. Overall, fine condition.
