Tibbets was the pilot of the Enola Gay, the B-29 that dropped the world's first atomic bomb used in war, on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945, hastening the end of WWII. The plane was named after Tibbets' mother. Bank cancellation stamps on verso show through faintly, touching "Paul" of signature. Fine condition.
