Autograph quotation signed twice: "Eric Blore/1937" and "Eric Blore". 1p. 6x4¼ yellow album page. In full: "To/Mrs Becker/with best wishers/from/Eric Blore/1937./'Any fool can be/exclusive'/Eric Blore.". British character actor Eric Blore (1887-1959) served in World War I and began appearing on stage in England after the war. In 1923 he made his way to the United States and began playing character roles on Broadway. He moved to films, appearing in some eighty. Blore is most recognizable for playing the butler in 5 of the 9 Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers RKO musicals, including Top Hat (1935), Swing Time (1936), and Shall We Dance (1937) and as Jamison the butler in 11 Lone Wolf films between 1940 and 1947. Three filing holes at left edge. Ink note (unknown hand) and ink blob on verso-show through not affecting body. Vertical fold crease - not affecting signatures. Otherwise, fine condition.
