Roberts, born Eric Roberts in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1956, is an American
stage, TV and movie actor with over 150 movie and TV credits as of this
biography. People either love or hate his intense performances and bad-boy
reputation, both on and off the screen; there's little middle ground. A
long-time actor, Roberts made his stage debut at age 5 in a theatre company run
by his father. His first break came in 1976, playing Ted Bancroft in the soap
opera Another World. After several box-office disappointments, he landed
his most-famous role of sleazy murderer Paul Snider in Bob Fosse's Star
80 (1983) - a role that also helped to typecast him as a villain. Roberts
was nominated for an Oscar as escaped convict Buck in 1985's Runaway
Train. He also appeared on Broadway as Pale in Burn This (1987-1988),
which earned him a 1988 Theatre World Award. Comic book fans may know Roberts as
Thompson, an associate of Noah "Horn-Rimmed Glasses" Bennet in the television
series Heroes and as voicing the villain Mongul in the cartoons
Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, while Doctor Who
fans may recognize him as the Doctor's nemesis the Master in the 1996 TV
movie Doctor Who. Lightly
creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
